Steel Forgings

Forging is a metal forming method that uses forging machinery to exert pressure on a metal blank to cause plastic deformation to obtain forgings with certain mechanical properties, shapes and sizes. Different from casting, forging can eliminate defects such as looseness in the cast metal produced during the smelting process and optimize the microstructure. At the same time, due to the preservation of complete metal streamlines, the mechanical properties of forgings are generally better than castings of the same material.
Among actual metal forming methods, the forging process is often used in important parts of machinery with high loads and severe working conditions, such as transmission shafts, gears, or shafts that bear large torques and loads.
With our partners of forging capabilities, we can provide customized forged parts in materials of carbon steel and alloy steel, including but not limited to AISI 1010 - AISI 1060, C30, C35, C40, 40Cr, 42Cr, 42CrMo2, 40CrNiMo, 20SiMn, 30CrMo, 35CrMo, 35SiMn, 40Mn, etc.
