Precision steel castings has already achieve quite exact shape of what is desired, thus it saves lots of machining compared with machining from steel profile directly. Also because of this reason, we usually have to consider machining surface and proper machining allowance before casting. Our regular procure is to work out raw casting drawing along with machining drawing to specify machining area and machining allowance on the drawing.
